Brooke Dougall is an Australian Eventing rider currently based in Bonn, Germany. For the past three years, she has served as the head groom for TS Showjumping, overseeing the care and management of elite equine athletes. Her experience includes grooming at some of the most prestigious competitions in Europe, including the World Championships, the Asian Games, and, most recently, the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Brooke also makes up one half of Team Dougall, with her mum Trudy still based in Australia. 

In addition to her responsibilities as head groom, Brooke rides all of Taizo’s horses whenever he is away coaching. She remains dedicated to her dream of representing Australia in eventing. In 2023, she sold her car to fund the transport of her beloved horse, Locky, to Europe, allowing her to compete in international show jumping and eventing competitions.

Brooke holds an international truck license and is responsible for transporting horses to shows across Europe. Managing a stable of 22 horses comes with significant responsibility and long hours. She oversees the organisation of the grooming team, conducts lessons when needed, and ensures the welfare of each horse. Her duties include maintaining vaccination schedules, arranging farrier visits, and addressing each horse’s individual needs.

Passionate about her career, Dougall has no immediate plans to return to Australia, citing the abundance of opportunities in Europe. Being surrounded by the world's top riders provides invaluable learning experiences that contribute to her growth in the sport.
